The ESSB Pharma & Biotech Working Group is a community of industry scientists dedicated to advancing the application of spatial biology in pharmaceutical research and drug development. Bringing together experts from pharma and biotech organizations, the group provides a unique forum to exchange experiences, discuss emerging technologies, and address shared challenges in spatial profiling, data analysis, and translational research.

Through regular discussions and collaborative initiatives, members explore how spatial biology can accelerate scientific discovery and inform R&D decisions. By fostering open, non-confidential exchange across organizations, the working group generates collective knowledge on how to best generate actionable biological insights from spatial data supporting the development of novel therapies for patients.
